~Mirror Lake~

Dave was overdue for a much needed vacation, so we decided to spend the week up at Mirror Lake. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Mirror Lake is beautiful! We really enjoyed our week out in the great outdoors.

Lexi wasn't interested in fishing, lol, so Hunter and I took her on a hike around the lake. It was beautiful!
The next morning we started the day off with a hike. It was a lot of fun and I was really impressed that Lexi did so well. We went past 4 or 5 little lakes, and the kids loved playing in the water, shooting guns, and collecting flowers, pinecones, and feathers.

It started raining a bit while we were on our hike, but it didn't last long. That's the Uintahs! On our hike we stopped at one of the lakes and had a little lunch, then headed back to camp to do a little fishing.
We stopped at a river and saw loads of fish. We didn't have the poles with us, so Dave thought he'd catch the fish with his hands. Hunter and Mckell thought this was so cool. He caught 2.

Looking for fish!
Lexi got board again with the fishing, so she and I went for a little walk to pick flowers. She was so proud of herself and kept saying "Mommy, I get married".
The next day, Jeff and Becky and their girls headed up to spend a few days with us. The kids had fun tubing in the lake, playing in the waterfall, and just being together.
Lexi and Jocelyn got a little board playing in the water so Lexi, Jocelyn, and I went on a hike around the lake. Although we only made it halfway because Lexi was being so independent and wanted to walk all by herself, not holding my hand, and she ended up tripping over a rock and skinning up her elbow. She was a tough little cookie though. Even though she was bleeding, she walked all the way back without crying. Way to go Lexi!
Since the kids were already in their wet clothes, we decided to go visit the waterfall. Hunter was in heaven! He LOVED playing in the water.

Everyone had crossed the river/bottom of waterfall. I know if Darinda were here she would have not liked watching the little ones cross the watterfall :) They thought it was great though. :)

Dave talked Hunter into climbing into the waterfall and doing the polar bear. Hunter thought this was great.

The kids and I played a lot of Uno.

I think this trip was just what Dave needed to get recharged for work.
