Dave's another year older! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I LOVE this man sooo much. He is the BEST husband and dad that anyone could ask for. He loves spending time with his family camping, watching movies, and playing around. We have soo much fun together. He always goes out of his way to help others out, he is very generous, and he is a very hard worker. He is a genious on the computer and an excellent hunter. We love you Dave!!! Happy Birthday!!!

I think there is a plus to having your birthday on a Sunday, You get to celebrate your birthday all weekend long. Well, at least that is what we did for Dave this year. We kind of kept things low key this year with Father's Day being the week before and next week we are off to Hawaii for our anniversary (well I guess I kept things low key, then felt bad so I did more :) Friday night the whole fam (meaning Marley too) went up to go camping at Jerry and Darindas. They were out of town, so we had the whole place to ourselves. We swam, grilled hamburgers, did fireworks, and played over at the dam. It was alot of fun!

Hunter had fun up in this tree house, although he didn't dare to swing off the rope swing into the water :) Dave had a tree house like this when he was younger over at the dam. I think it brought back a lot of memories.

Lexi loved that Marley was so tired from running around that he just sat there while she mawled him :)

Then for Dave's birthday, Saturday we got his favorite pizza (Pizza Hut's Large stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni and diced up bacon; he got it all the time out on his mission) and rented some movies. Sunday (his actual birthday) was pretty layed back, church and a birthday lunch at my mom's. Then on Monday, Dave and I went to dinner and a movie. We were supposed to go birthday shopping for Dave between dinner and the movie, but we just ended up buying me stuff instead of him stuff. I don't know how that happened, but he just kept picking me out things instead of looking for him (don't I have the best husband in the world???) I love Dave so much and am glad I get to celebrate his birthdays with him. :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

~Aggies Basketball Camp~

Hunter just finished up with Basketball camp up to Utah State. He had so much fun, and was sad to see this week come to an end. He learned how to shoot the ball, charge, dribble, pass, etc. He really liked his coach, and can't wait to go again next year. Thanks Grandpa Wangsgard!!!!(he gave us all the info and paid for Hunter to go)

We were lucky to have a big group of boys from the neighborhood to go up with. Kaden, Davis, Britton, Brex, and Hunter.

The boys stretching out before getting started.

To practice the boys shooting skills they played lightning. Hunter LOVED this game!

Our cute neighbors, Kay and Amy Stowell, said that Hunter could come and practice shooting hoops at their house, since we are losers and don't have a basketball hoop in our yard :) One day we'll get one. Hunter has been over there everyday practicing. He really loves basketball.

~A Balancing Act~

My kids LOVE it when their Grandpa Wangsgard throws them in the air, swings them in a blanket, or balances them in the air (even Lexi).

The kids could do this all night long if Grandpa's arms were up for it :) Who needs lifting weights at the gym??? Just use your grandkids, lol.

~Baseball & Kickball~

A cute friend of mine talked me into team coaching with her on Hunter's baseball team this year. When I told family that I was going to be Hunter's baseball coach, they just laughed and said YOU are going to coach baseball? At first I was a little nervous, but I really had a blast coaching Hunter's team this year. It was so much fun interacting with the cute boys on the team, we had great coaches (4 total), and it was fun to see the boys get better and better with each game. :) I would never have anticipated how much fun I had coaching these little boys. Thanks Mindy for talking me into coaching with you :)
Hunter had a lot of fun playing baseball this year. His favorite positions to play are 2nd base and catcher.
Hunter was lucky to be on a team with all his little buddies. Cooper, Rexton, Brex, Hunter, and Davis.
The one thing that I was kinda bummed about by being Hunter's coach was that I didn't get to see hardly any of Mckell's kickball games. They did play at the same park, which was good, but Mckell's games always started 30 minutes after Hunter's and they both got over at the same time. The 2 games I did get to see of her playing, it rained the whole time so I wasn't able to get any pictures of her playing :(. But she was a good little player. She could kick the ball far, run fast from base to base, and she was good at running after the ball when she was in the outfield.

~Annual Ropelato Trip to Browne Lake~

The Ropelato's made our way up to Browne Lake for the weekend for our annual camping trip. It was a BLAST!!! We road four wheelers, paddled around in boats on the lake, fished, and sat around telling stories by the camp fire.

Hunter had a blast driving the four wheeler around all by himself.

This is Lexi's first time going on a real four wheeler ride, and her first time wearing a helmet. The helmet alone weighed as much as she did :)

"The staircase". We road the four wheelers up it. This picture doesn't do it justice. It is really steep. And no Lexi and Mckell didn't go on this ride. Hunter rode on the back of Gramps's fourwheeler and almost flew off 20 times. It is a wonder he made it back alive :)

Hunter and Gramps riding up the staircase.

At the top of the staircase, Dave and Jerry decided they wanted to continue on to Hacking Lake, we hadn't gone far when we met some obstacles in the trail. Big trees were blocking our path, but that didn't stop Dave and Jerry. If they couldn't move the trees, they tried going around them or over them.

As the trail went on the obstacles got worse and worse, and they kept finding ways around it.
But at one point we got stuck. Their was no way over or around this tree, so we had to turn around and go back. I think Dave and Jerry were bummed, but Hunter and I were relieved :)
On one of our rides up to Spirit Lake, Dave tipped his bike driving through a snow bank. Mistake #1- Dirt bikes are not made for the snow and mistake #2- Never ride a dirt bike in shorts. Well, Dave ended up burning his leg pretty bad. He should have gone right to the doctor, but Jeff and Becky came up a day later and he didn't want to ruin the trip for everyone, so he tuffed it out. We went to the doctor when we got home and they told him he has 2nd degree burns on most of his leg but there are 3 different areas that look like they could be 3rd degree burns. They are going to wait a week and see if the skin starts healing, if not he will be getting skin grafts. He is tuff, cause if that happened to me I would be ready to go home right then and there, but he toughed it out the rest of the weekend. What a trooper. And it is a good thing we had some nurses handy :) Becky and Darinda took good care of him.

Mr. Tuff Guy :)

Here is video of our ride through one of the many rivers in our way :)
