Merry Christmas!!!!

We had an extensive talk with the kids last night about what time it was Ok for them to get up on Christmas morning. We didn't want what happened last year repeating itself. Last year the kids woke up at 1:30 to see what Santa had brought them. Dave and I held them off, in our room, until 3:00. Then we finally gave in and told them to go and look at their gifts, because we figured the sooner they see what they got, the sooner we could go back to bed. Well, this year we told the kids that they were not allowed to come upstairs until 5:00. I am so proud of them because they listened. At 5:00, on the dot, they were waking us up to see what Santa had brought to them.
Mckell and Hunter reading the note Santa left for them.

Lexi was so funny. She was so excited that she got a Belle and Beast Barbie doll that she didn't even realize that Santa had left her a bunch of other things too. It wasn't until after all the presents under the tree were unwrapped, that she noticed she had several other things too. She was soooo excited!

I didn't get any pictures of Hunter opening any of his presents because he had them all opened before I knew what he was doing.
Mckell making cupcakes in her new easy bake oven.Grandma and Grandpa Ropelato came to our house about 7:30 in the morning to bring their gifts. The kids loved seeing what they brought and showing them what Santa had given to us.

Mckell with her new American girl doll. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa. It's just what she wanted.
After Grandma and Grandpa left, the kids decided to make little forts out of all the Christmas boxes we had.
The kids kept insisting that they were planning on sleeping in their forts tonight. I don't think the forts are going to last that long :)
We shortly headed to church, then to Grandma and Grandpa Wangsgards for a Christmas lunch/gift exchange.

Lexi loved playing on Grandma's new rocking horse.
Overall we had a very good Christmas. Dave was sick pretty much the whole holiday weekend, but was feeling a bit better this afternoon so he could join us for Christmas lunch. We were glad he felt better, finally!
