~I absolutely LOVE these people!~

I can't think of anyone else I'd rather spend my time with.  I aboslutely LOVE my family!  We have so much fun together, no matter where it may be.  I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with each of them, and I'm so excited to add another cute addition to our family later this week.

~The First Wall~

Our new house is sure coming along.  Lexi and Dave helped put up the first wall on our main level.  Lexi was so proud of herself and couldn't wait to show Hunter and Mckell her big muscles and tell them that she and Dave helped to build the new house.  She is such a cutie!

It is really fun to see the house start to take shape.  We can't wait until it is finished :)

~1, 2, 3, Blast-Off!~

For scouts, the boys made rockets and were able to launch them to see how high they would go.  It was a lot of fun to see how high the different rockets went. Everyone loved trying to catch them as they came back to the ground.  Even the little brothers and sisters were able to make and launch their rockets.  It was a fun night for everyone!
The kids would have launched their rockets all night long if they could, hahaha.  Finally the Cub Master had to say this is the last one.  It was a really fun night!

~CEO of the Year~

Jerry was voted the CEO of the Year by the Utah Technology Council.  We were able to join him at a special luncheon at Little America to see him get his award.  Way to Go Jerry!

~Happy Birthday to My Beautiful Mckell~

Wow! 7 years old! Kids grow way too fast! Mckell is such a sweet girl. She loves school, loves to draw and make things, and is such a big helper to me. She is always thinking about how she can make others happy. She is constantly asking me if I want her to give me a massage, she shares her treats with Hunter, she cleans up Hunters things so that he doesn't have to, she is always thinking about others feelings, and she plays so well with Lexi. Lexi absolutely adores her! I love that they are so close, which is how sisters are supposed to be.:) We love Mckell and wouldn't trade her for anything.

Mckell at 3 months old. She still has the cutest smile!
Mckell woke up first thing Sunday morning wanting to open her presents. I know it was torchure for her to wait until Dave got home from his church meetings to open them. She was such a good sport though.

We celebrated Mckell's birthday the following day with the Wangsgard side of the family. I told Mckell that she coudl pick anyplace to go eat. She chose Rodizio Grill. Dave thought this was a GREAT idea! So Monday evening we all headed down to Salt Lake for dinner. Hunter wasn't very thrilled, he is my picky eater and remembered eating down there (or not eating in his case) for her 5th birthday. He kept trying to talk her out of it, but I know by the end of the night he was glad we went there to eat.

I think Hell may have frozen over, because when Lexi and I came back from the salad bar, Hunter (my picky eater) was eating. I almost fell over, lol. He was trying everything the waiters brought by our table. Toward the end of the night he even got brave and had Rattlesnake, Wild Boar, and even ate a chicken heart. He even liked them, lol. On the way home he kept commenting on how much fun he had eating at Rodizio Grill, and that he couldn't wait to go back. That made the cost of the bill totally worth it. Hunter actually ate and tried something new!!!! Yeah!!!! I know it was Mckell's birthday but we totally had to document Hunter eating, hahaha. It never happens :).
Hunter and Grandma eating Rattlesnake. Grandma didn't like it very much, but Hunter thought it was GREAT!
Hunter eating a Chicken Heart.
Mckell and Lexi were totally grossed out by the thought that Hunter could eat a Chicken heart, that they couldn't watch.
They came and sang a Brazillian birthday song to Mckell. That was a lot of fun. They had drums and everything. Lexi thought it was great!
Hunter and Mckell standing in the very spot that Karl Malone was standing (see picture behind them). Hunter wanted this picture taken (he is BIG into basketball right now). Happy Birthday Mckell! I hope it was a GREAT one!

Mckell's Early Birthday Celebration

In a few days Mckell will be turning 7 years old. We had a big birthday party/Easter egg hunt with the Ropelato side of the family. It was a lot of fun! Jerry and Darinda had eggs hidden all over their yard, we had a fire to roast hot dogs and marshmellows, then had cake and ice cream for all of the birthday girls.
I had a proud mommy moment with Mckell. After the egg hunt, we were sitting around the fire and Jeff said, "Mckell that was really nice of you to give one of your silver eggs to Jocelyn". I asked Mckell what he was talking about and she told me that Jocelyn didn't get any golden or silver eggs (those were the eggs that had $10 and $20 bills in them). Mckell had 3 silver eggs with $20 bills in them so she gave one to Jocelyn, since Jocelyn didn't get any. Proud Mommy Moment!!!! No one asked Mckell to give Jocelyn one of her eggs, she just did it out of the goodness of her own heart. She is such a sweet girl and always thinking about others. I'm proud and lucky to be her mom :) She is a sweetheart!

When we got home, Mckell had to lay out everything she'd gotten, since she opened her presents so quickly that Dave and I really didn't see what she'd gotten. She hit the pay dirt :) Happy early birthday Mckell!

~Easter~

We love holidays at our house! The kids get so excited whenever one is near. We have several traditions that we always look forward to. One thing we love to do at Easter time, is go on the Easter Bunny Trail at our local grocery store. Lexi was so excited to see the Easter Bunny and to fill her basket with all kinds of yummy treats. The kids also love coloring Easter eggs, although now I don't know what to do with all the eggs they colored. :)
But one of the kids favorite things about Easter is looking for their Easter baskets on Easter morning. The Easter bunny hides the kids Easter baskets and leaves clues around the house to help them find them. They love seeing where the Easter bunny will hide their baskets each year.

Lexi was the first to find her basket, which the bunny hid in the hall closet.
Mckell's basket was hidden in Lexi's closet.
And Hunter's basket was hidden in the front seat of my Tahoe.
The kids baskets were filled with bunny ears, an Easter/spring outfit, flip flops, shoes, bubbles, swimsuits, and lots and lots of candy. The bunny also left each of them a big bouncy ball.
Later that day, we went to my parent's house for an Easter dinner and Easter egg hunt. The kids each had a basket that the bunny (a.k.a Grandpa) hid. They had fun running around following clues for a second time.
The eggs in the egg hunt were filled with $. The kids thought this was great! Hunter ended up taking home the most money $16. The kids really liked that some of the eggs had golden dollars in them. We really had a GREAT Easter!
One thing that I wanted to get a picture of, but didn't, was the kids in their new Easter church clothes that Grandma Ropelato bought for them.
I guess I'll have to get that next Sunday :)
